Mystery over entrepreneur’s death deepens

The mysterious death of the 38-year-old entrepreneur from Muzaffarnagar, whose body was found outside a guest house at Central Delhi’s Paharganj area, turned murkier on Tuesday.

The preliminary post-mortem report suggested that Shahnawaz Khan died after falling off from a great height — <g data-gr-id="21">suspectedly</g> from the fourth floor balcony of the guest house room — without any mark on his body which could suggest a scuffle.

However, the bag reportedly containing Rs 25 lakh, which Khan’s family claimed that he had brought with him to strike a deal in Delhi, has not been found anywhere inside the hotel room, said a police source.

He further said that from the preliminary investigation, it seems like Khan was in an inebriated state on Sunday night and had lost his balance leading to the fall. His body was discovered by the police around 2.30 am on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

Khan was in events management profession and had his own firm at Muzaffarnagar.
