Multi-specialty hospital-cum university to begin in April: Greater Noida Authority

A medical university-cum multi-specialty hospital in Greater Noida will start operations from April this year. Greater Noida Authority made the announcement after the UP cabinet gave its nod to the university-cum hospital on Saturday. The university, backed by a budget of Rs 760 will come up in the Kasna area.
The academic session of the university will begin from the current session and for the time being it will run from Gautam Budh University. According to sources, all medical colleges in western Uttar Pradesh will be part of the proposed university. Initially, MBBS, MS, MD and a few other courses will be introduced. Other related courses will be introduced once the construction of the university building is complete. The university is expected to hold a minimum of 700 students.
‘After the UP government approved it last week, there is no hurdle in starting the university from the following academic year’, said an offcial with the authority. The hospital will hold a capacity of 700 beds.
