On Friday night in Jewar area of Greater Noida a mother and her son were shot at and murdered and their bodies were recovered on Saturday morning by the neighbors after which police were called. As the bodies were found in a bad state, to make sure the incident in the village does not lead to a stir by the villagers, heavy police deployment was made.
The motive of the murder was found be a property dispute between the accused and victim Samay Singh (55). Samay Singh’s son, Vicky, filed a case of murder against four people namely Rajesh, Lalu, Satish, Bhagwan Shah following which the police have detained two and started questioning.
According to sources, Samay Singh (55) was a resident of village Jhuppa. The victim is survived by four daughters and a son and was a farmer. After marrying off his son and daughters, Singh was living with his mother Ramdoi (75).
It is believed that as the dispute was not going in the accused’s favour, they carried out this act in a fit of rage.
On Friday night the accused seems to have jumped the wall of the house where Samay Singh and his mother were sleeping. The accused shot at the mother on her head, however, when Samay was trying to escape, the murderers caught hold of him, took him to a nearby area, shot at him and then attacked him with sharp weapons.
On Saturday morning, top police officials were present at the spot. Inspector Surender Yadav said: “The situation of the bodies was very gruesome.”
According to a policeman privy to the investigation, searches are being made to locate the other accused and arrests will soon be made.
