More go online on second day of DU admission forms sale

As compared to the first day, there was lukewarm response to the sale of DU admission forms on the second day on Thursday.  However, compared to the first day, Thursday saw a hike in online registration.

The total sale over the two days stood at more than 70,000. According to J M Khurana, dean of Student Welfare, 'The sale of forms on the second day was normal. On the first day the sale had been phenomenal.  A total of 30,000 online registrations were received till the second day. The payments for 14,000 online forms have been cleared.'

A DU official informed that the university helpline numbers have been receiving calls, not only from India, but also countries like Malaysia and Singapore.

Thursday saw many aspirants pick online registration over physically queueing up for forms.  ‘In the beginning, demand drafts were the only payment option for those registering online, but starting Thursday we could make online payment,’ said Shiva an aspiring student.

‘I will go with online option and avoid going out in the heat. I will also recommend this to my friends, relatives and  neighbours,’ said Rajat Sharma, another student. The last date for sale and receipt of forms is 19 June.
