Monks arrested in Nepal over taking 14 children to India

Four Buddhist monks have been arrested over taking 14 children to India illegally, police said on Monday.
A team of police in Itahari in southern Nepal detained the India-bound monks for taking the children in an unauthorized manner in a bus at Itahari Bus Station, according to sources at the Nepal Police headquarters.
The arrested monks, however, claimed that the children were being taken to <g data-gr-id="11">Deharadun</g> where they will be taught to become monks later. The monks did not <g data-gr-id="12">posses</g> valid documents for sending the children to India for learning Buddhist education.
