Modi sends out 80 lakh SMSes

Prime minister Narendra Modi sent SMSes to 80 lakh teachers and students wishing them on Teachers’ Day. In his message, Modi praised the tireless efforts of teachers in spreading knowledge for generations. Meanwhile, the PMO has received about 11 lakh email addresses from the HRD Ministry for the PM to send out messages to teachers and students.
Interacting with the 350 national awardee teachers, who were felicitated by president Pranab Mukherjee on Teachers’, he said a teacher never retires and always endeavours to teach the new generation.
