Prime minister Narendra Modi on thursday met BJP MPs from the northeastern and southern states and interacted with them on their role in the new government.
Modi met party MPs from five northeastern states and the southern states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. The lone party MP from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, too, met the Prime Minister on Thursday.
Modi told the MPs about the welfare steps which have been taken by his government after coming to power and averred that the people continue to retain their faith in BJP despite the opposition’s negative propaganda.
The MPs told Modi that the people were against the politics of violence and assured him that BJP’s politics of development, which he has propounded, would succeed.
Modi asked the MPs to work for the welfare of the common man and take the decisions of the new government to the public.
Talking to the MPs from the northeast, Modi told them of the development work done in that region.
The meeting today is part of a series of interactions the PM is holding with party MPs from the various states.
