MLA harassed by youth in C’Chowk

A Delhi Assembly legislator was harassed by a youth at Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area on Thursday evening. The youth, identified as Rajesh (23), is a resident of Central Delhi’s Baljeet Nagar. The incident was reported in the afternoon, when the legislator had gone to Chandni Chowk’s Town Hall to attend a function. The accused first approached the legislator and smiled at her. After coming closer, he allegedly winked and tried to touch her, said a police official. He further said that the legislator, with the help of some locals, got hold of the youth and handed him over to the police. A case of molestation was registered at the C’Chowk police station, the official added. A case under a relevant section of the IPC has been registered.
