MISA prisoners to get pension of Rs 12,000 per month, says Raje

Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday announced that all MISA prisoners held in the jails during emergency would get a monthly pension of Rs 12,000 from January this year.
Raje, while defending her budgetary provisions, said the previous Congress government had stopped the pension but the present BJP regime will again provide the MISA prisoners monthly pension of Rs 12,000 and a medical allowance of Rs 1200.
Fifty eight Trauma Centres would also be operationalised and equipped in the state to meet the challenges of road accidents, she announced. A new investment policy would be made with a ‘customised package’ to attract pharmaceutical industry having a turn over of Rs one lakh crore in the country, she said.
