Minor, woman found dead in separate cases in Ggn

In a tragic course of events, the Gurgaon Police found two unidentified bodies in different parts of Gurgaon on Wednesday morning. While the body of an unidentified girl child was found in Leisure Valley Park on late Tuesday night, a decomposed headless body of a woman was found in the Sector 53 locality.

According to the police, in both the cases it was difficult to ascertain the causes of death as they waited for 48 hours before conducting a post-mortem. The police said that the girl child appears to be three to four years-old and was spotted by a couple who were taking a stroll in the park. As soon as they saw the girl lying on the bench, in an unconscious state, they gave a call to the police control 

room.

“At around 10.30 pm, the couple noticed the girl lying on a park bench. Worried about the safety of the girl, they immediately informed the police control room. The police reached the spot and found the girl to be dead,” said Ashok Kumar, Station House Officer, Sector 29 police station.

Police sources have revealed that there are ‘strangulation-like’ marks on the neck but no other wound or blood stains have been found on the girl’s body. The police are finding it hard to ascertain the identity of the girl as she had no identity or address proof on her.

“The girl was wearing a frock, a pair of jeans and a pair of new shoes when she was found in the park. We have alerted Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and Punjab police about the girl and seeking information on any missing report filed in this case,” Kumar added. 

In the second incident, the police on Tuesday night, found a head of a woman from the drain near Saraswati Kunj area of Sector 53. Later, next morning, the police also found a headless body of a 35-year-old woman from the same drain. According to the Sushant Lok police, body was found wrapped in a polythene bag in a drain by some workers. “The body has completely decomposed and no one has come forward for identification. Prima facie it appears that the woman was killed 3 to 4 days ago. We have registered a case and probe is on,” said an official.
