Minor girl found dead in Gurgaon

A body of 12-year-old girl, who was allegedly murdered, was found in an isolated place near posh Galleria Market in Gurgaon on Monday.
‘Prima facie, it appears that the girl has been raped as her private parts have injury marks and most of her clothes have been torn off’, said Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), Gurgaon.
The minor, a daughter of a washer man, had gone to deliver the clothes to a client in the DLF Phase 4 late last evening, police informed. However, when she did not return by night, her parents informed the police.
The police, along with the girl’s parents, kept searching for her in the nearby areas during the night but to no avail. They received information early in the morning that the girl was lying dead in the bushes in the locality. ‘The body has been sent for post-mortem and rape will be confirmed only after medical examination’, Kumar said.
