Minimum wages to be made statutory for all states

Minimum wages announced by the Centre for workers in unorganised sector would be made statutory for all states through a bill likely to be introduced in the Winter Session of Parliament to amend the Minimum Wages Act. ‘The cabinet has already approved the proposal. Now it will come to Parliament. We are expecting that by next session it should come. Presently it is with the Law Ministry,’ MoS for labour and employment K Suresh said.
