At least seven Pakistani soldiers were kidnapped on Wednesday by militants from a small town around 120 km from Islamabad, just days after 22 security personnel were abducted from the northwest tribal region, a media report said. The incident took place in Jand in Punjab province, Xinhua reported citing local media. The soldiers were kidnapped when they were on their way back to Bannu district in the northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Rawalpindi after vacation. The militants, covering their faces with veils, stopped the van carrying the soldiers and took them to an undisclosed location.
