MI captaincy turning point in Rohit's career: Sunny

Terming the elevation of Rohit Sharma to Mumbai Indians captaincy the biggest turning point of his career, former captain Sunil Gavaskar on Thursday said leading the IPL outfit has transformed the talented batsman and made him realise the value of his wicket. ‘This has been a great year for Rohit. Things have changed for him since he was appointed skipper mid way into the tournament (IPL) this year. He knew he had the ability but could not perform to his potential. He didn't realise the value of his wicket. But from the time he has started captaining Mumbai, he has completely transformed. I think it was the biggest turning point of his career,’ Gavaskar said.
