Mass marriage ceremony for underprivileged women held

As many as 51 bridegrooms from different communities tied the knot with their underprivileged partners also belonging to different communities in a mass marriage ceremony organised by the Ladli Foundation Trust in the Chattarpur temple premises. 

51 separate pavilions with 51 priests and a maulvi for a Muslim couple conducted the weddings according to respective traditions and customs. The volunteers of the trust issued the slogans of ‘beti bachao beti padhao’ during the ceremony. The Anant Raj Group Family gifted Rs 1 lakh to couples along with items of domestic utility. 

The president, Devendar Gupta and the general secretary Ashish Bansal dwelled on the evils of the dowry system and how it affects the poor families. Without any governmental help, Ashish Bansal, through his social efforts have successfully arranged the marriage of over 550 girls, thereby, giving them new hopes and new dreams.
