Maoist menace has raised its head once again, with the extremists killing an employee of Pawan Singh construction company in Bihar’s Jamui district and torching three vehicles, police said Friday.
The gruesome incident took place on late Thursday night under Barhat police station at Tenghara village of the district, when a group of armed Maoists attacked the site of the construction company and slit the throat of a accountant of the firm. The deceased has been identified as Priyanand Singh. Sources said that it’s the handiwork of Sidhu Koda, the zonal commander.
Police suspect that the Maoists killed the man after the construction company he worked with refused to comply with the rebels’ demands for money.
