Manish Sisodia files nomination

According to the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer’s Office, a total of 220 nomination papers were filed, out of which, 95 nomination papers were by AAP candidates while 61 nomination by Congress’ nominees.
Sisodia and Jain filed their nominations from Patparganj and Shakur Basti respectively and AAP’s Girish Soni from Madipur and Sanjeev Jha from Burari have filed their nomination papers. 30 nomination papers were filed on Monday by independent candidates. Sisodia’s constituency covers Indraprastha Extension, Mayur Vihar I and II and DDA flats. Mandavali, Vinod Nagar and Patparganj.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to file his nomination papers on Tuesday. “This time this nomination is not only for the Patparganj area but for a full majority win for the AAP in Delhi assembly election,” said Sisodia.

He further said that the people of Patparganj will not let any corrupt man to win the elections. “We promise to fulfill each and every single promise made to the people of Delhi. Our only aim and focus is to provide a clean and honest political alternative to the people who are tired of corruption and dishonesty,” said Sisodia. AAP leader Girish Soni filed his nomination from Madipur. Sanjeev Jha and Jitendra Tomar filed their papers from Burari and Tri Nagar respectively.

Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Delhi convener Ashutosh was reportedly heckled by supporters of former MLA Rajesh Garg at a meeting in Rohini on Sunday evening. The incident took place while Ashutosh was addressing a gathering in the area.
