Mandela discharged from hospital

Former South African president Nelson Mandela has been discharged from hospital, the South African presidency announced on Wednesday. Having been hospitalised 18 days ago, he was treated for a lung infection and gallstones. Mandela will, however, continue to receive treatment at his home in Johannesburg until he fully recovers, BBC quoted a statement from President Jacob Zuma’s office as saying. His wife Graca Machel and President Zuma visited him on Christmas Day and said he was in good spirits.
