Man shot at for trying to stop chain snatchers

A 21-year-old man who tried to stop a gang of robbers while they were trying to snatch the gold chain of a woman was shot at by the miscreants. The incident took place in Dwarka on Thursday morning.
The man has been identified as Sandeep Singh, 21, 'He received a bullet injury in his back. Singh was immediately rushed to the hospital where his condition is reportedly stable,' said police. The incident took place around 6 am when Kalyaani, 27, a resident of Mahavir Encalve, went for a morning walk. When she reached Palam flyover, three people on a motorbike stopped her and started threatening her at gunpoint.
Singh, who witnessed the crime while travelling in a DTC bus, stepped down and tried to foil the snatching bid. Meanwhile, after the robbers opened fire at Singh, they managed to flee the scene.
