Man robbed of SUV car in Rajouri Garden

A 35-year-old businessman was robbed of his Toyota Fortuner SUV by six unidentified men, of which one was dressed in a Delhi Police uniform, near West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden on the wee hours of Friday.
The victim, identified as Ravi, is a Gurgaon-based businessman and was heading towards Patiala in his Fortuner. Around 4.30 am, a grey Honda City car intercepted him. Then a person dressed in Delhi Police uniform asked him to come out and produce the documents.
In the meantime, five other persons wearing monkey caps, de-boarded from the Honda City car and overpowered Ravi. Later, four of them ran away with his SUV and held him hostage.
Later, they dumped Ravi near AIIMS hospital and Delhi and fled. A case was registered under relevant sections of IPC at the Rajouri Garden police station. However, the identity of the robbers have not been established yet, said an investigating officer.
