Man molests 14-year-old

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her 24-year-old neighbour in Nand Nagri area of north-east Delhi. The incident was reported to police on Monday night. The accused is still absconding.
The victim told the police that while her parents were having dinner, her neighbour, identified as Vinod, managed to enter her room and molested her. ‘When she resisted, he started to beat her up,’ said a police official quoting the victim. When Vinod left she told her parents and her father rushed to Vinod’s house but he had already made his escape.
They then went to the local police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. ‘Soon after the complaint was received, we took the girl to the nearby hospital and conducted a medical test. We are on the lookout for Vinod,’ the official added.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family claim that they are getting threat calls from Vinod’s family.
