A day after a 33-year-old man reportedly killed his wife at his home and later committed suicide at the railway tracks in Samaypur Badli area of Outer Delhi on Tuesday morning, Delhi Police have recovered a suicide note in which the man, identified as Deepak has accused wife of an IAS officer, the IAS officer and his wife for allegedly blackmailing him and recording his calls, said sources.
According to highly-placed sources, Deepak used to work in Maruti in Manesar.
On Tuesday morning at around 9:30, Deepak murdered his wife Sheelu. He allegedly slammed her head against a wall repeatedly until she fell on the floor. After killing her, Deepak wrote a suicide note and left home.
It was only when Deepak’s mother found her lying on the floor that she raised an alarm and informed other family members. Deepak and Sheelu are survived by their eight year old son.
Few hours later, Deepak took the extreme step and ended his life by jumping in front of a train at the Samaypur Badli railway tracks. A passer-by informed the police after which Deepak was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on admission. Sources said that during investigation, police recovered a suicide note written by Deepak.
In the suicide note, he has mentioned that his wife, Sheelu, Sheelu’s sister Shaily and Shaily’s husband Shyam Yadav, an IAS officer used to record his calls and blackmail him. Although the reason of why Deepak was being tortured is still not clear, police are questioning his relatives and friends. Sources further said that Deepak was not happy with Sheelu because she allegedly used to mistreat his mother and asked him to give all the earnings to her.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Samaypur Badli police station. Further investigation is underway.
