Man held for making hoax bomb call

A 44-year-old farmer was held for making a hoax bomb call threatening an explosion at the police lines complex on 9 August, police said on Sunday.

Deewan Singh of village Ghoshgarh was arrested on Saturday. ‘Deewan wanted Sandeep to be arrested for eloping with his married daughter a few months ago,’ investigation officer said.

‘His daughter was married to a person in the Sultanpuri area of Delhi but eloped with Sandeep from her in-laws’ house. A case regarding his missing daughter was registered at the Sultanpuri police station,’ the officer added.
