Man held for kidnapping stepson

A 25-year-old man was arrested here in connection with the kidnapping of his five-year-old stepson in Meghalaya, police said here on Friday.

The arrested person was identified as Ajay Kumar Roy, a resident of Ijrapanapur village in Bihar’s 

Vaishali district who kidnapped the little boy from in in-laws’ place in Shillong, Meghalaya. Delhi Police said a message was received on Friday from Superintendent of Police, Shillong, stating that the man accused of kidnapping a five-year-old child from Shillong on April 19, was using some mobile numbers of Delhi/NCR could be hiding in south Delhi. A team of Delhi Police raided the place where he was hiding. 

He was arrested from a construction site of <g data-gr-id="19">Bamnoli</g> village in Dwarka on Thursday. A team of Shillong police was also with the raiding party, police said.
