Man found hanging from tree near Rajghat

A Ghaziabad-based businessman was found hanging from a tree in central Delhi’s Rajghat area on Sunday.
He was reportedly missing from east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area since Saturday. Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide, a police officer said.
The deceased was identified as Kamleshvar and lived with his wife in Ghaziabad. He runs a cloth shop in Ghoda colony in east Delhi. If sources are to be believed, the couple was depressed as he was childless.
On Saturday morning, he went to his shop and left early. He had a conversation with his younger brother who told police that he sounded normal. Since then he was missing and a case was also filed at Kalyanpuri police station.
On Sunday, a gardener discovered his body hanging from a tree.
The cops have ruled out any foul play during the initial investigation. The initial probe suggests that the businessman had committed suicide. ‘No external injuries were found on his body. A nylon rope was used to form a noose and he allegedly hung himself,’ a senior police officer said. No suicide not was recovered from the body.
The body was sent for post-mortem and the reports are awaited. ‘His wife, family members are being questioned in the case, said the officer.
