Man falls off fifth floor, dies; furious mob burn down site owner building, vehicles

A labourer in his early 30s died after he fell from the fifth floor of building under construction in west Delhi’s Moti Nagar on Thursday. A similar incident took place a month ago at the construction site.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 11.30 am on Thursday. The deceased, who is yet to be identified, was allegedly working on the fifth floor when he fell down. He died on the spot. V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police (west) said, ‘Soon after the incident, other labours who were working at the construction site became violent and burnt the site office of the builder.’ He added that they also damaged cars parked nearby. They gave into their fury as a few months ago another co-worker also died when he accidentally fell from the building. A large number of cops had to be sent to the crime scene<span lang="EN-IN"> to control the mob. A case under negligence causing death has been booked at Moti Nagar police station.
