Man attacks wife with knife

A school teacher has alleged that her husband tried to stab her over dowry at Trilokpuri, late on Wednesday. The couple got married six months ago. The accused is absconding since the incident.
‘The incident took place on Wednesday when the woman was cooking. Her husband entered the kitchen holding a knife in his hand. When the victim noticed the knife, she tried to walk away but her husband attacked her,’ said police.
Somehow, the woman managed to escape. According to police, the accused, identified as Vikram, had been harassing her for long. ‘We have registered a case under appropriate sections at Kalyanpuri police station and are trying to trace him,’ the official added.
