Man arrested for trying to rape 4-yr-old in Gr Noida

The city police have arrested a man for allegedly trying to rape a four-year-old girl in Jewar on Sunday. An irate mob caught the accused, while he was trying to outrage the girls’ modesty and thrashed him, before handing him over to the police.
The accused has been arrested and an FIR has been registered against him in under the POCSO Act.
A police official said the child was playing outside her house with her friends when the man, who lives in the neighborhood, lured her to his house. He, then, allegedly tried to rape her. “The accused has admitted to the crime. He was produced before a court, which has sent him to 14 days’ judicial custody,” said Dilip Singh, DSP, Jewar.
