On Tuesday, the West Bengal government is all set to make an attempt to bring fresh investments to the state with the second edition of the industry summit, Bengal Leads, taking off at Haldia.
The initiative for organising the event is being taken up by the Department of Commerce and Industries, Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal. The main objective of holding this ‘exhibition-cum-business summit’ is to create a platform wherein the government will discuss and explain the vast business opportunities lying in store for the entrepreneurs as well for business houses in West Bengal and also to directly interact with all the stakeholders.
The summit will be inaugurated by the chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday. There will be panel discussions on different sectors including one is to one business meetings at the venue of the summit on Wednesday and Thursday.
Top industrialists across the country and abroad have been invited to attend the inaugural ceremony of the summit as well as to attend the summit. As the industry summit is taking place close on the heels of the just concluded Narendra Modi’s ‘Vibrant Gujarat’, comparisons seem inevitable.
