Over 70 international buyers from 25 countries and about 80 representatives of distinct Indian markets are expected to take part in the meet being inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The business-to-business exhibition will be attended by representatives from heritage hotels, conference venues, tour operators and wildlife parks as well as by international buyers from Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, USA, Australia, South Africa and Canada.
Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director, Hari Ranjan Rao, said the goal is to ensure each participant whether it is the exhibitor, buyer or visitor, gets value for their investment and time spent.
The state, famous as the heartland of the country having three world heritage sites, is capable of attracting tourists who are in search of something new.
The main objective is to apprise participants about state’s religious places having historic, art and cultural heritage, forest wealth and immense natural beauty. Recently, wedding planners were invited to Orchha and counselled to choose Madhya Pradesh’s tourist destinations as wedding venues.
A marketing office of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will soon be opened at Bengaluru to invite maximum number of South Indian tourists to Madhya Pradesh.
The office will mainly coordinate in inviting tourists from Chennai, Kochi and Visakhapatnam etc to Madhya Pradesh’s tourist destination.
