Though many have criticised West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s inability to see the ‘no confidence motion’ against the UPA government through in Parliament, she seems gearing up again to lead from the front.’ You may lose a battle over ideology, but you will win the war if you have tenacity and morals,’ a hopeful Banerjee said on Friday.
The Trinamool Congress supremo said that she would stick to her ideology even if she ‘loses for the time-being’. I may lose but I will stick to my ideology, one must not lose patience’, Banerjee, an alumnus, said at the 80 th anniversary of the Yogomaya Devi College.
‘As long as I live, I will work for the people’, she said. ‘I may face criticism for what I do. So I will work for the good of the people, whatever the reaction’, she said.
‘Raja chole bazaar to kutta bhoke hazaar’, she said, alluding to those who ridiculed her for moving a no confidence motion in the floor of the House on Thursday.
On her Facebook page, Banerjee sounded hopeful too. ‘Though the Motion was rejected on the floor of the House due to numbers, but the ‘No Trust’ against the UPA government is not rejected by the people of the country. Now, you see the saviours of the Government are exposed’, she said. Banerjee had requested parties to support the no trust motion that her party moved.
