Long power cuts to cripple normal life

With the temperature touching 42 degrees, the plight of Delhiites is all set to worsen with long power cuts in this scorching summer heat.

Some areas of the national capital will reportedly have long power outages from almost three to 10 hours respectively. However, Delhi principal secretary Arun Goyal on Thursday claimed that adequate arrangements have been made to meet the demands and sudden variations in load-shedding.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) announced on Thursday that residents of Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Narayana, Narela, Civil Lines, Badli, Shakti Nagar, Keshav Puram, Bawana, Moti Bagh and Pitampura will experience long hours of power cuts on 2 May, owing to scheduled maintenance works in the region.

According to TPDDL; Rajeev Nagar, JJ-1 and 2 in Shalimar Bagh and Wazirpur village will also have to face almost eight to 10 hours of power cut.
