Lok Sabha election: AAP asks supporters to donate office spaces across the country

With an objective to give a tough fight to other national parties in the upcoming general election, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has urged its supporters to donate spaces for offices along with other infrastructures required to run offices for Lok Sabha elections.
The party has asked to donate smartphones, laptops, desktops, vehicles, modem, cameras, used furniture and much more office related utensils for the party to spread their reach across the country. The party is looking for around 10 office spaces in Delhi to contest all the seven Lok Sabha seats.
‘We need around 10 offices in Delhi. Seven offices will be would be used by Lok Sabha candidates to run their offices from their respective constituencies. Out of remaining three, one office would be utilised for donation related work, second would be used for Arvind Kejriwal’s campaigning work, while last office would be used for the party’s nationwide campaign work,’ said a senior party leader. Presently, the party is running from Hanuman Road, Connaught Place office.
‘We have received some office spaces in Dwarka sector 16 and Karol Bagh. In Dwarka, party supporter has offered his 116 sq metre flat for the party office, basement space (250 yard) in Karol Bagh has been offered his for the party office,’ the senior party leader said.
‘We are also looking for the office space in Saket somewhere near to Metro station’, he added.
Most of the donations seem to be coming from Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. Donations have also come in from other parts of the country, including Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand, said the party leader.
