Live telecast of Delhi assembly proceeding available on Internet

Delhi legislative assembly’s fourteenth (monsoon) Session is scheduled to start from Tuesday and the Assembly has managed live web telecast for the first time. Now, anyone can watch the proceedings of the assembly on their computers, laptops or even mobile phones through the Internet. Delhi legislativ assembly speaker, Yoganand Shastri, said that to access this facility one will have to visit the website of legislativ assembly - delhiassembly.nic.in and click on the new link, Live Webcast of assembly proceedings which has been developed on its home page.’
Shastri added, ‘apart from the live webcast, date-wise recording of the proceedings of the assembly will remain stored on the website for a certain period and one can watch it any time,.’
According to the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Delhi will be the third state to have such a system in place after the assemblies of Bihar and Rajsthan facilitated the same.
On the request of the assembly secretariat, the proposal of this project was prepared by the NIC, Delhi state information centre after conducting feasibility study and finally it was approved by the Information Technology Department in last march,’ said the speaker.
Shastri added, ‘apart from the live webcast, date-wise recording of the proceedings of the assembly will remain stored on the website for a certain period and one can watch it any time,.’
