Literature in armchair!

It is sad though that not everyday that nobel laureates like Rabindranath Tagore are celebrated in india. But the Oxford University Press has taken a step forward and dedicated a whole evening to the awesomeness called Rabindranath Tagore.
It would be an evening to celebrate literature and music. A much needed for the young today. It is true and stands vivid in front of us as to how we are being drawn away from art and literature day after day. The joy of reading has been overtaken by video games. Good music has been replaced by Yo Yo Honey Singh and not to mention but theater has now become ancient and the arm chair comfort of a movie hall has taken its place big time.
Amidst all this, people like Prof Amiya P Sen, Prof Shirshendu Chakrabarti and Arunava Sinha have  taken out time to talk, discuss and translate Tagore for us. One cannot afford to miss on the songs from Gitanjali.

When: 23 May; 5:30 pm
Where: Oxford Bookstore, N-81, Connaught Place, New Delhi
