Former captain Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said the expertise of former Indian cricketers can surely be utilised for bringing improvements in the team but was not sure if they will have enough time for the challenging job.
Recently, Sunil Gavaskar had said Rahul Dravid should replace incumbent Duncan Fletcher in coaching role with the team. Asked about Gavaskar’s remarks, Ganguly said, ‘Why not when you have players like Dravid, (Sachin) Tendulkar and (Anil) Kumble. It depends how much time they can give. I think it’s an individual decision for every cricketer what he wants do in life. Dravid said on Friday he has just ‘finished’, it’d be difficult for him to be on the road for 11 months,’ Sourav said.
