Lekhi launches vocational courses for constituency’s unemployed youth

Under the new initiative, the unemployed youth of New Delhi constituency will get vocational training to help them get jobs.

The training will be imparted free of cost to youths in six villages —Aliganj, Jutbagh, Old Pilanji, New Pilanji, Kotla and Kherpur.

Lekhi said on completion of the three-month programme, the youths will be offered jobs at private companies.

Speaking on the occasion, Lekhi said, ‘the dream of inclusive growth can only be achieved by skill development. I would encourage people to register for such courses and train themselves for competitive environment.’

Earlier, Lekhi had adopted Old Pilanji in her Lok Sabha constituency to develop it as a ‘Model Village’ under a scheme envisaged by Narendra Modi.
