Congress leading in both Lok Sabha seats of Manipur

Imphal: Congress was leading in both the Lok Sabha seats in Manipur on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Election Commission.

Congress candidate Angomcha Bimol Akoijam was leading in the Inner Manipur seat over his nearest rival Thounaojam Basantakumar of the BJP by 64,174 votes.

In the Outer Manipur seat, Alfred Kanngam S Arthur of the Congress was ahead by 27,341 votes over NPF candidate Kachui Timothy Zimik.
