Mother of suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, who is on hunger strike for 37 days in jail, on Saturday lodged a complaint against Presidency Correctional Home authorities and sought proper security for her son. In her three-page FIR lodged at the Hastings Police Station on Saturday evening, the former TMC MP's mother, Monika Ghosh alleged that jail authorities have been torturing her son, both physically and mentally, in order to compel him to withdraw his hunger strike, a officer of the Kolkata Police said Ghosh is on hunger strike, which completed 37 days on Saturday, demanding the arrest of others who were involved in the scam. Ghosh's mother in her complaint has named a couple of officials at the correctional home and urged they be "adequately punished", he said. Ghosh's health deteriorated last week.
