Dubbing the Karnataka government's decision to appeal in the Supreme Court against the verdict acquitting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in <g data-gr-id="24">an assets</g> case as "shameful," the ruling AIADMK onÂ
Tuesday asserted that its supremo will again prove her innocence.
"That a state government is going to appeal in an 18-year old case after the High Court had given its judgement following the completion of final arguments is a shameful act," AIADMK Tamil daily "Dr Namadhu MGR," said.
After a Cabinet meeting, Karnataka government announced yesterday that it would appeal in the Supreme Court against the verdict exonerating Jayalalithaa.
"People of Tamil Nadu have no doubt that our Puratchi <g data-gr-id="14">Thalaivi</g> Amma will shine like gold refined in fire again by proving that she is innocent (in court of law) after stamping out conspiracies," it said.
