Woman gang-raped inside beauty parlour

Kolkata: A woman was allegedly gang-raped and blackmailed inside a beauty parlour at Kyd Street and a complaint was lodged on Friday night at Tiljala police station.

According to sources, a woman had filmed the entire act and later used the video to blackmail her.

On Friday night, the victim lodged a complaint against five persons. Later, three of the accused were arrested from Park Street area.

Sources informed that a woman from Tiljala was promised a job by one Rina Begum. Few days ago, the victim went to the parlour with Rina where she was gang-raped. After the incident, when she was about to leave the parlour, the accused showed her the video and threatened her of dire consequences if she went to the police.

The victim returned home and did not say a word to her family members. But the accused once again asked her to come to the parlour.

Having no other option, she went there and was allegedly gang-raped again. On Friday, she narrated the incident to her family members. Later at night, a police complaint was lodged.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police have initiated a case on charges of gang-rape and blackmailing.

Late on Friday night, police raided Park Street area and arrested three persons including Rina.

The other two have been identified as Manoar Ali and Mohammad. They were produced before the Alipore court and was remanded to police custody till November 27.

Two more accused are still on the run.
