Woman faces sexual harassment at friend's home

Kolkata: A woman was allegedly sexually harassed at a social event at Karaya on Friday night.

She lodged a complaint at Taltala police station. Based on her complaint, the police arrested a man.

According to sources, on Friday evening, the woman went to a friend's house to attend a birthday party. Around 8 pm, she was offered some soft drinks. After having the drink, the woman fell unconscious.

When she gained consciousness around 12 am, she found her clothes were disheveled. The woman also felt that she was sexually harassed.

Before losing consciousness, she had seen three youths who were seating close to her and keeping a watch on her. Though she understood who the culprits were, she came back home.

On Saturday she lodged a complaint at Taltala police station against the three persons. Based on her complaint, cops nabbed one of the accused youths. Other two accused persons are on the run.
