Two teachers held for torturing Class I boy

Two teachers from a primary school in Baruipur have been accused of torturing a Class I boy.
The family members of the victim lodged a complaint with the senior officials of the school which had infuriated the accused teachers so much that they brutally beat up the boy for telling his family members about the incident.
The family members finally lodged a complaint in the local police station against the teachers. The incident occurred at Baruipur Welkin School on Saturday. The family members of the victim alleged that the two accused teachers tried to strangle him as he informed the matter to his family members. The victim had received injuries on his neck caused due to the nails. The boy was profusely bleeding on his when he returned home after school. The accused told the boy that he was getting the punishment because he had informed the matter to his family members. The boy's mother also complained that few a months ago the accused teachers had injured the boy's arms and legs as a result of which he could not walk properly for sometimes.
The victim's mother told the police that she went to his school and protested against the torture by the teachers. She also alleged that she was assaulted. She was asked to leave the school along with the boy. The woman and her son were rushed to a nearby hospital. They were, however, let off later after primary treatment. After receiving a complaint from the boy's mother, police have started a probe in this regard. The police are talking to the accused and the school authorities in this connection.
A senior official from the district said that action will be taken against the accused if they are found guilty in the course of the investigation. No one from the school was available for comments.
