Two bodies found at Ghola, murder suspected
Kolkata: Two decomposed bodies were found from a swamp beside Kalyani Expressway at Sadarhat in Ghola on Monday morning. It is suspected that the duo was murdered and the bodies were dumped there.
According to sources, on Monday morning, locals saw two dead bodies floating in the swamp. Immediately, Ghola police station was informed. Police fished out the bodies and sent them for autopsy. On seeing the bodies, the sleuths suspect that the deceased persons could be between 40 to 45
years of age.
It is suspected that the persons were murdered somewhere else at least 4-5 days ago.
The duo might have been killed by strangulation or poisoning. None of the bodies have been identified yet.
Though the bodies were found in a decomposed state, some injury marks could be located on them.
However, a section of the police suspect that the marks on the bodies were due to decomposition.
To identify the body, an 'all concerned message' has been circulated throughout the state if any missing diaries were lodged at any police station. The sleuths are going to check if there is any CCTV camera installed in the nearby area.
It is also suspected that several people are connected in the double murder as the deceased persons were quite capable of resisting any attack.
Cops are also questioning locals if they had seen any suspicious vehicle because they believe that the murderers had definitely used a vehicle to carry the bodies.
