Kolkata: A state-wide four-day-long special campaign programme will be carried out using digital means of communication to make people at the grassroot level aware of the different projects of the Mamata Banerjee government.
The campaign, captioned "Manusher Sathe — Maa, Mati, Manusher Sarkar", is the first time that the state government has taken up such a huge project to create awareness among people even at the Panchayat level about the benefits of various projects and schemes of the state government.
The programme is scheduled to start from 5 pm on March 21 and will continue for the next three days till March 24.
According to Nabanna sources, there will be a total of 50 tableaus which would be travelling around the state to create awareness.
The 50 tableaus include two from each district apart from Kolkata and the remaining six are digital concepts in which video clippings highlighting the benefits of the state government's premier projects including Kanyashree, Khadya Sathi, Sabuj Sathi and Rupashree will be displayed.
The two tableaus from each district will have artistes, who are enrolled under the state government's Lok Prasar Prakalpa.
They will be performing through which they would also make the people aware. The tableaus would be stopping at crucial locations and the artistes will be performing on them.
The six tableaus will be fitted with digital screens on all its sides and video clippings will be shown through it.
"This is the first time when digital tableaus are getting introduced that will help to reach out to more people with an easy approach," said an official adding that these six tableaus will keep moving across the state.
It may be mentioned that the video clippings that will be shown in the digital tableaus have been prepared in such a manner so that the message can be easily conveyed.
Besides "the awareness on wheel", there will also be programmes in auditoriums in the respective district headquarters. In Kolkata, there will be a programme at Ektara Mukta Mancha which is situated in the premises of Rabindra Sadan. The programme at Ektara Mukta Mancha will be held from March 21 evening to March 23.
