TMC to felicitate senior party workers

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress will be felicitating its senior most party workers in every Assembly constituency areas on Sunday as a mark of respect to them for their contribution in taking the party forward since its inception. The programme has been named as "Sikriti Sammelan".

The announcement holds a special significance as it came on Nandigram Divas and party workers have started preparation for the same in all 294 Assembly constituency areas.

In a press statement that has been issued by Trinamool Congress in this connection stated that "there is contribution of a large number of senior most workers in setting up the party and in taking it forward. A Sikriti Sammelan has been organised to felicitate such workers and they will be felicitated by leaders of the party from the respective Assembly constituency areas itself."

This comes at the time when the party supremo Mamata Banerjee have repeatedly urged the party workers to work together with its senior most workers. In recent party meetings, Banerjee have directed workers of her party to involve the senior most ones in programmes those are taken up in grassroot level on regular basis.

Trinamool Congress has taken up a massive campaign with the civic polls knocking on the door and the Assembly polls in 2021. Now with the "Sikriti Sammelan" programme the senior most party workers will get their due respect and it will once again help the party to work in the grassroot level in a much better way.
