TMC takes out 3rd rally against BJP's vendetta politics

The Trinamool Congress on Monday took out a rally to protest against the political vendetta of BJP.

This was the third such rally taken out by the party in the past couple of days. Party leaders Subrata Bakshi and Aroop Biswas led the march which started from Jadavpur and ended at Hazra. The last two rallies were led by the president of the party's women wing Chandrima Bhattacharya and Mayor Sovan Chatterjee. The rallyists shouted anti-BJP slogans and held the party responsible for stalling development in Bengal.

Subrata Bakshi alleged that the reduction of interest rates for small savings had affected elderly people very badly.

The Centre had announced this without any prior intimation.

He said that the BJP was shouting against chit funds but had reduced the interest rate thus affecting people.

Meanwhile, Aroop Biswas said that the Centre has stopped financial assistance for many schemes and this has hit the state government's coffer.
