Teenager kills self

Kolkata: A 14-year-old boy was found hanging at the staircase of a building adjacent to his home at Nazrul Park in Keshtopur on Thursday evening. His father alleged that his son has been murdered.

According to sources, on Thursday, around 6 pm, a few residents of the building saw the boy hanging in the

staircase and informed his father.

The boy was rushed to a local nursing home where he was declared brought dead. Baguiati police station was informed and the body was sent for autopsy examination. Police feel this could be a suicide case.

However, the boy's father claimed that his son has been murdered. "A belt which was used to tie a dog has been used to kill him. It is definitely a murder," said the boy's father.

He also alleged that police officials of Baguiati police station refused to accept any complaint and claiming this to be a suicide.

Police sources claimed that the boy had gone to a birthday party of his friend on October 20. He came back home drunk at the night. His father reportedly scolded him for drinking alcohol. Cops suspect the boy committed as he was rebuked by his father.

Deputy Commissioner, Airport Divison of Bidhannagar Police, J Mercy on Friday stated that no foul play has been detected so far.
