Students felicitated

Kolkata: Minister of state for Mass Education and Library Siddiqullah Chowdhury felicitated students who excelled in their class X and XII board exams on the International Literacy Day on Tuesday.

"We are extremely happy to be able to felicitate the students who braved all odds and scored high marks," said Chowdhury, after releasing the brochure mentioning the schemes of the state

government for the students at the State Central Library in Ultadanga.

Under the Mass Education Extension Directorate, there are 74 sponsored special schools having 5487 students and 79 academically recognized Schools having 45,353 students. Scholarships are awarded to the students for scoring high marks. This year, 30 students were felicitated for excelling in the board exam.
