State sees major IPS reshuffle

Kolkata: In a major IPS reshuffle on Thursday, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Birbhum, Kunal Aggarwal has been removed. Shyam Singh has been posted as the new SP of Birbhum, whereas Aggarwal has been made the Special Superintendent (SS), CID, in Durgapur.

Nagendra Nath Tripathi has been made the South Dinajpur SP, whereas the present SP Prasun Bandopadhya has been transferred to the post of SS, CID, in Malda.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Barrackpore Rajesh Kumar Singh has been transferred to the post of Inspector General (IG), Presidency Range. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Presidency Range Sunil Kumar Choudhary has been made CP, Barrackpore. Meanwhile, the SS, CID, in Malda, David Ivan Lepcha has been made SS, CID, West Bengal, Headquarter in Siliguri.
